Fine, then fix it with a bit of contact glue (Evostick in the UK), that will also keep it slightly flexible. Martin

Sorry for the confusion. Part no ....73 goes at the bottom. That's the driver with ventilated magnet (the correct name for "the hole"). This driver is playing the role of woofer and midrange. Part no ....74 goes at the top. This driver only plays as woofer. Martin

A hole ? How about the front grill, is it damaged too ? How big is the hole and where is it ? Depending on the size and location, it may be fixed by straightening any remains of the frayed cone and glueing a piece of coffee filter paper onto the cone using speaker cement or, in this case where the cone is merely cardboard, plain white paper glue. The grills are mounted using small countersunk nails. I would recommend a wide spatula to avoid damaging the edges of the wooden cabinet. You can sink the nails again when mounting by using another nail between the hammer and the nail to be mounted, drive it in to head apprx 1mm under the cloth. Martin

I have new lamps and sensors but check the lamp position first. The sensor is not easy to replace (and not cheap), but fortunately rarely faulty unless broken (it's a tiny glass piece) or leads pulled off. Check the signal with an oscilloscope, you should be able to see the pulses from the radial streaks on the platter very clearly. Martin

Tonearm stops just short of the record = clean and lubricate the threaded shaft and replace the servo motor belt. It's a matter of friction as the tonearms are slowed down to get to the exact starting point and this is where the mechanics will have to work precisely and without slippage. The arm won't lower until the correct number of pulses

Lane, welcome to Beoworld and thanks for signing up as a silver member, your support is greatly appreciated ! You will be able to fit either of these MMC20S, MMC20E, MMC20EN, MMC20CL and as Peter says, a new cartridge from Soundsmith is a great alternative. Martin

Yes, that's the upper driver in the cabinet. Martin

1. No, they are different drivers. 2. CX100 is a three-way speaker. I don't remember the crossover frequencies. Martin

Obviously, it believes a record is on the platter, my guess would be one or more of the following : - Dust on lens system - Lamp output too low - Lamp misadjusted - filament should sit exactly over the lens and as close as possible - Sensor bad - Sensor leads broken - Cracked solders at the board edge connector - Electronic fault leading to poor detection
