I think it is suggested that you use a 9V battery , but only for a second or so. Do the other drivers work? The only thing in series with the woofer is a coil. I suppose that may have a problem. You will need to check each component.

What did you test for? Not sure you have ruled out the speaker coil being fried. Have a look at the crossover by all means - it is easy to get hold of. It would be no surprise if the capacitors need replacing but they tend to affect the tweeters, not the woofer. If you look at the circuit diagram, there isn't really a capacitor to cause any mischief

Make sure it is not the speaker coil by using a battery - the cone will move. Or simply swap it with the other one. I actually replaced the bass units on my S120s with new Peerless ones some years ago before coming to Beoworld.

Too scathing!! I think it is a very clever idea but not flexible enough. I don't like the fact one cannot use one's own collection in addition - though I suppose this is to stop you recording the streamed content. My broadband is flaky enough to make streamed music a non starter - and is it just me or is the sound track on the demo really crackly

Not convinced that this is the problem. If it were, surely the arm would move to the start and then just not drop? I suggest the record weighing mechanism is a more likely culprit. If the Beogram detects no record, it will act as you describe.

Program it to play Stand By at the time you want it to stop.
