  • Re: Most beautiful B&O speaker ever built

I thought the answer to this would come to me quite quickly but I am struggling to decide really! I think the best answer I can give it that just about any B&O speaker can look as good as the other depending on its location! The 8000's are undoubtedly stunning speakers but the Lab5000's are in themselves a work of art, more so than the 4500's

Yes I have known one or two people to buy these, I could never bring myself to comment on them, or even acknowledge there existance lol! Car cassette mechanism that makes a factory fit ford model look decent, cheapest cd player if you can call it that and as for the record player well I would use it to play coasters and nothing else! • Re: Beogram 7000 tone arm assembly not moving

Some pics The angle and setting of the pivot point has to be dead accurate although this should not need attention in your case!!!! To be honest it is a bit of a fidly job but if you are very careful and take your time with a steady hand it is definatly worth doing!

  • Re: Beogram 7000 tone arm assembly not moving

I agree with Graham I had a 3000 purchased off ebay with a 'trashed tonearm'. The horizontal pivot was no longer present and when I repareed I had the same symptoms you describe, which was due to the piece missing in Grahams picture above. Both were sorted satisfactorily with some bent pieces of metal and the deck still works to this day :)

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 Type 2253

Nice to see someone working on this amp! Regarding the capacitor can't tell as long as you have the polarity correct and that the one required bridge is connected then you will be fine. Obviously it sounds as if the amp needs attention, but before this I would disconect the power plug that goes into the amp board and see if the processor fires up

  • Re: Beocord 9000 azimuth aligning tape:

Try adjusting the azimuth and then setting the screw with some nail varnish, just be careful that it only goes on the screw tho! Regards spares for this deck your only hope for most of it would be to purchase a spare deck and butcher for parts. They are extremely cheap atm, and considering what other tape machines can fetch and this machines historical
