Did run a pair of 45/2 off the ml/mcl converter for a short while whilst refoaming the midranges of a pair of vox pentas - about 2 years ago - seem to remember they performed well although memory dims! tony
-
An ML/MCL unit is basically a passive the amp is the same from what my memory recalls, it is also equipped with an ir facility - you may pick one up slightly cheaper as I think it sort of precedes the Passive Tony - you would obviously ML it although it does have poweer link as well(the guise in which i used one)_
-
I have here some rings for a Penta refurb - the dimensions are outer(external diam 77mm, inner( internal) 46mm with approx 4mm flat rims to ground on the outer chassis and innercone hope this helps! tony

Have used an ML/MCL converter-basically a Passive with a pair of vox pentas to good effect, ok the amp, a BC9300, was screwed up a bit but didn't notice any distortion etc however my hearing recepticles are somewhat old and jaded! Others may have differing views to mine! Salut tony

cONCUR WITH j0HN - Ive used their ring lots of times - you don't say why they are too large , my problem was a little overhang of the outer metal chassis all other details, diams etc seemed to work well - the overhsng was simply trimmed with a modelling knife, the penta's i did have new foam rings and if as the originals should be good for 20

I agree, am using an Active with an IR eye as a slave , masterlinked to an Ouverture, with the MCl2p power linked to the active, works well with a pair of RL6000's Tony

din plug pin nos from top or bottom? try shorting 4and 2if you get noise then you have reversed your input and outout feeds alternatively, resolder them on the other 2 pins(try just 1 first) if it works then away you go! tony
-
Have you plugged the din into the 7 pin socket if not try it, I use a bl1000 remote and then either the phono or shift/radio to call it up, works fine but need to screw up the ouverture vol somewhat even with the mp3 at full volume tony

Have you tried pressing the list button on the beo 4 if stand is listed then press go and the sidearrows, until your position is found then scroll the list key to find store(?)and press go think that should do it, but maybe another member could confirm as i am not too sure beo 4 wise!
-
Could be an early model, for use with a beolink 1000 the stand control on that is on the colour button , first item on list, use sideways arrows to position then press store button - think thats the system cannot remember but I have an early 7000 with which i can try the above tomorrow, the sets elsewhere you see hope this helps, of course it means
