  • Re: B&O in Comet...

Hi: I don't know if it is true presently. However, historically they did sell TVs through Rumbelows in the early 90's/late 80's. I don't think it would necessarily be a bad thing, if B&O rent space in the shops kind of like how 3 Mobile rented floor space in Superdrug. This would mean that they maintain exclusivity yet gain access

  • Re: What are these?

Excellent. Could you tell me how foam rot occurs? Is it through neglect or degredation over time? Is its effect cosmetic or does it impede performance? Thanks Graham

  • Beolab Pentas

Hi all: I know the easy answer is to check the going rate on Ebay. However, there are none on there at the moment. How much should I look to pay for a fair pair of Pentas. For example, maybe a few cosmetic scratches but not gouges or foam rot. I am looking at getting a pair because they are pretty imposing, I like equipment that towers over people!

  • Re: Biometric (fingerprint) door locks?

I was thinking of doing the same. I work in a college which has a setup based on card readers and electro-magnetic locks. The setup in principle is simple: Elecro magnetic lock Card reader/scanner PC with software Card However, the last I heard there was only one company that offers such a solution and it is very expensive - they own the rights over

  • Re: Avant picture problem

I don't know if it is the same with CRTs. However, to get burn out of plasmas, you can fill the screen with a white source and leave it running, this will remove other colour burns. One option would be to connect a vhs up that typically has a blue OSD. If you can change the background colour to white and remove all symbols from the screen. Obviously

  • Re: Worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed?

Hi: The most badly designed product for me even though I want one is the Beovision 1 high stand (I mean the very high one). went to a friend's house and his kids were running around. One grabbed the pole of the stand and started shaking it. The "coconut" atop the aluminium trunk nearly came crashing to the floor. I know it is not designed

  • Re: CRT Monitor/CRT Televison Resoloutions

In which case I have a dilema. I really like my B&O CRTs and will not get rid of them because for SD sources I think they are unparalleled. However, as I use the Beovision 1 as my main bedroom TV and the room is quite small I really do not want to squeeze in my 17" CRT monitor. My Xbox 360 is obviously HD enabled and thus I am wondering whether
