I do too allthough without stereo or surround speakers its only a great timeless design compared to my LX5500. It's got very good picture quality though.

I find the picture of the box a bit strange. If it's the old Beolink MCL82 which fits Beosystem 5000 and 8000 among others then the MCL boxes looks completly different inside. The above is the early MCL2 system called MCL82 which can be seen on the trancivers. Acording to the IR code converter manual and the Beotech site this is what should be used

I second that. I can recall when I got my white Beovox S80.2 last year arriving to get them. The lady present asked if I would like to hear them and I said that it did not matter as they were allready on the way to be fixed at Dillen in Copenhagen. There were typically signs of foamrot. Welcome to Beoworld! It looks like you got a classic example of a Beogram 8000 with the typical needs for a cap kit otherwise it will be difficult to get it back in order. You need to get in touch with member Dillen here. He knows the Beogram 8000 inside out and have fixed many cases like this.

I got mine back from service as it was not working when I bought it. Several things had been gone through and they did run some tests on it with great success. So I got the monitor back.
