I'm not known to throwing in my 10 pence worth on these discussion threads, but today, I will make an exception. Beoworld has seen this discussion revisited quite a number of times over the last couple of years and it amazes me that members still feel the need to discuss it. Slight correction ... the MX8000 and MX4200 stands operate differently and there seems to be a compatability issue with some MX5000 stands. Neil

I would tend to disagree about the level of integration ... whilst there may be a small reduction in components, generally the changes were the partitioning across the boards. Again, unless one is qualified, I would hesitate to encourage amateurs to "have a go" ... opening can and indeed has been fatal. I do not believe that beoworld should

Personally speaking, I think you would be better off getting a good pair of passive speakers ... whilst the 7000 performs well in terms of TV audio, in hifi audio terms it is mediocre at best. Neil

The LX and MX share both the same chassis and tube ... so were not different when new ;o)

On a final note ... it will be cheaper and easier to fix an MX6000 if it breaks!!!

Oh, thats an easy one ;o) To change the clock ... press the GO button on your beo4 or play on beolink 1000 ...type in the time ... store it ... job done :o) Anything else? Neil
