My experience is that French dealers are... Dealers! They don't know what a software update is or how to change a battery in a Beocom... It's just a shame to sell so expensive stuff and do nothing for after sale service. After sale in France is always c**p, I hope you don't drive a Renault or a Peugeot! In Germany, I have a better service

Have you listened to the S5? I'm a real fan of the Sonos system, but the S5 simply can't play in the same league than the BS8...

Je me tâte aussi pour remplacer mon Beocom 6000 par un Beocom 5... Mais je l'aime quand même bien le petit 6000, plus discret posé de dos sur sa pyramide...

I Keith, I'm discovering this thread and it seems that Olivier's problem is really close to the problem I had with IRTrans and 2 of my remotes (Philips HomeRun + Sony videoprojector) : "2" in the captured string, which works by resending it with IRTrans but not with your XML... I will also try to see if sending 3 times the code makes

Not so sure... Maybe it's a part of the Beosound5 Encore where the ICE module only serves as headphone amplifier... But it could be something more interesting : as they speak of USB, it could be a module for some Beolab PC : the issue of Beolab 4 PC (compared to B&W MM-1 for instance) is that they don't have their own DAC. That module could

It's always astonishing to see that Bang & Olufsen provide some strange alibis to explain that they don't have a technology that is everywhere else : no support for Apple Lossless is a bit of a shame for a lifestyle music product (as B&O owners are often Apple users), some other brands have it. And no, connecting an Airport express to

The fact is that 3D is not a new technolog, its : -A good old 200Hz panel -The electronic which can display 2 images (Left/Right) at a 200Hz refresh rate (100Hz for each eye) -An IR emitter synchronised with the panel in order to synchronise the glasses. So, adding 3D capability to a recent TV can almost be resumed in adding an IR emitter and providing

Marketing of all TV brands wants you to believe that the 3D will take off in 2011. Facts are here : there is fewer people now in 3D theaters than in beginning 2010. Have you seen 2 movies that really would make you buy a 3DTV set? I'm not a 3D-hater, I'm really found of 3D for videogames, but it makes me sick very quickly. Wait for the content
