I'm selling a BG9500 on ebay at the moment and I've been asked if it will work with a Beosound 9000 Mk2. I have no experience of Beosound 9000s - can anyone help me? Is Beolink control possible? Cheers Nigel

I know Marc didn't intend me to broadcast this to the whole world, but I just felt I wanted to! Thanks again Marc. Hello Nigel, I have received yesterday the 5700s safely and in perfect condition! I would like to thank you once more for all the care you have taken for the packing; I had never seen since I buy on Ebay such a good and such a secure

Hi I have several questions about Pentas...... When I get a pair I will be using a Beosound 2500 (obviously active only) or a Beosystem 6500. 1) Is there an appreciable difference in sound quality between passive and active? 2) What are the phyisical differences between MK1, 2 & 3 Actives? 3) Are there any appreciable differences in sound quality

Hi & welcome to Beoworld! I have to admit I'm not an expert on these but I would have thought in the region of $100. Of course the accurate way to find out what it is worth is to list it on ebay with a starting price of $1. Whatever it sells for will be what it is worth! Cheers Nigel

Hi Yep, it's a Beosystem 5500. It's certainly not rare - probably the most popular of that era of Beosystems. Be aware that CD players that have had a lot of use of this age will be prone to worn out lasers, and unfortunately replacements are not available. If you can afford it better to go for one of the later 6500 or 7000 systems. Replacement

Wecome to Beoworld ! It all depends on their working and cosmetic condition. Also key is the condition of the stylus. Assuming they are working OK and cosmetics are good, then target prices (they sometime go for a lot more) should be Beogram £200 CD5500 - £130 Beocord - £30 Beomaster - £80 Beolinks - £35 each MCP - £90

I concur!! It's amazing what baby wipes will shift in the way of marks and stains without any damage to the surface - even stacking marks on the tops of the Beosystem components (albeit with a fair amount of elbow grease...) Cheers Nigel

That's really brightened up my Tuesday, beaker!! I have had my BM6500 go off on radio in the middle of the night shortly after I put it in my bedroom, but it was at a fairly low volume...... Cheers Nigel
