Not cheap postage but as luck would have it there's a PENTA FOOTPLATE on ebay US as we speak. I agree with graham - I could easily live with it as is. Not sure what's causing the buzzing though. It could be the transformer plates vibrating which isn't unusual in older equipment. Chris.

First off Jaff, I would have done exactly the same in your situation. If you hadn't acted within a given time frame you would have risked losing everything. The seller is wholly to blame for this situation IMO. Threats of the police & an attourney are absolutely ludicrous and don't hold water with Paypal who are NOT regulated by any financial

His excuse of not understanding the rules of selling doesn't wash. He's relisted it exactly the same as last time out. Chris.

I left it open to the atmosphere and it quickly started to tarnish which was a shame (Craig is right - preventing the button holes from rounding off is a real problem). These top plates aren't cast aluminium but an alloy of some sort. I still

Sell the cartridge (assuming it is OK) seperately & it will probably fetch more on its own than with the turntable. Offer it worldwide for maximum exposure. Chris.
We're going to have to give it a name!
Good idea Andy. I propose naming him "Woofer" after all he is a Black Lab Chris.
