to be fair I'm not sure Bose claim an accurate reproduction - just that it sounds "nice" which, on first listen, it does. It's only when you listen critically or for extended periods you notice somethins amiss.

Despite earlier promises I'm going to have to retire hurt from this particular endeavour. I spent an hour today looking at the product page and got no more than five (including a guess or two)! Once you have a cabinet design then the drivers and crossovers are everything! I fail to see how you can change drivers "willy nilly" (a good old English expression) and expect an"improvement". Painting them sickly yellow totally spoils what was once "the best" according to some of our more informed members.
