I have said it before , but that is a stunning room. I agree with the dark floor - the walls are so light that a bit of contrast would be good and it is not as though you need to lighten the room. Maybe a bigger screen though!

I am afraid I am clearly in a minority - I would not consider anything but a B&O TV. I know they have limitations, I know they are expensive, but having lived with a Panasonic TV after I was burgled for a year made me realise that the B&O sets offer everything I need in a well made reliable package that integrates with the rest of my home entertainment

That fits with what I know as well - the Beo5 will control the V box but is acting as a remote control for the box and not working via the TV. This has implications if you have a link system as you will not be able to control the V box in another room. The LCD sets and later plasmas do not have this issue as the PUC device is different to the STB-C

If the S45-2 is cheap, I would be very tempted to get it and use the woofer anyway.

I don't think the V+ box is covered - the question was raised just a month or so back. On the newer sets but not on chip based sets as yet. The original Virgin box should be covered as said though.

Back in Newcastle following my trip to Eastbourne. Put up for two nights by Tim and Revai in Farnborough and have enjoyed both the company and the huge electronic skills of Tim. Have repopulated the house with B&O - in no particular order now have added a Beosystem 2400 with BM2400, Beocord 2400, Beogram 2402 and an MC40, a Beogram 8002 now working

Check the DIN plug first - may just be a loose wire. If that is fine, I suppose the mute relay would be my next suspect.
