Many years ago I did change a tube, but I wish I had not started the job, and I was doing it along with a very knowledgeable B&O engineer. The main issues are not so much the physical changing of the tube, but the subsequent setting up which, even for an experienced person is at best time consuming. Also, as Peter says the voltages in the set when

Just because you did not hear the hum when you only had one speaker connected does not mean that the Beoport is not at fault in my view. I suggest you do a test and with the power switched off your Beoport and the powerlink cable removed, check with a multi-meter to see if pins 2 & 7 of the Powerlink on the Beoport are shorted together. If they

So, to be clear, what exactly is the list price of a BeoVision 7-32 in Australia ? Also if you buy a product in the UK for direct shipment outside the EU, then VAT is not chargeable.

Further to my last post, if you have an early PC2/Beoport then Pin 7 (data ground) has no connection to BeoPort/BeoLink PC2. You can solve the problem by Short-circuit pin 2 and 7 Alternatively, this modification can be made in the splitter connected to BeoPort Keith..

Dylan, Putting aside price, in my view, you should not consider buying a BeoVision 7 in the UK and trying to use it in Australia unless you find you can buy a Australian version from a UK dealer which I expect is unlikely. Taking the BeoVision 7-32 as an example The 7-32 in the UK is type number 9334 and in Australia it is type number 9335 The differences

Any TV will work after the UK goes digital PROVIDED you use a STB (Any make of Set Top Freeview Box) and you have a SCART input on your TV. Keith..

As I understand it, the DVD2 has its own analogue tuner as well as the 250GB disk from which recordings can be made to a DVD, note the word "analogue" tuner whereas the HDR2 can record from any source available. I am assuming this has been done to force customers to buy both the HDR2 and the DVD2. Keith..

Frankly, I think it is unlikely for two main reasons 1) The DVD 1 was not produced for the US market, it was only produced for countries which used the PAL system. 2) Comsumers in general in the US are much more willing and wishing to mix and match there products, in other words use a different manufacturer for a DVD player to the TV etc. Keith..

Andy, As others have stated, you find the software version by pressing "menu" and "go" at the same time, then press list repeatly The latest version is EE = 6.1 and software is 5.00 If you cannot find "phono", then you have a more recent version of the BEO4. Phono was re-assigned N-Radio means Network Radio and you would
