Peter: Not sure Ouvertures had the PIN code feature. I believe some early 3000s didn't have it either. But not having owned one of these, I wouldn't take my word as gospel! My BS3000 does not have a PIN code. Not sure of the year but it is a large clamper model. Craig

Craig: If am showing my B&O to visitors I usually put on We Come One by Faithless. Craig Forgot to mention, my system is a BS3000 masterlinked to a BV3-32. Speakers are those of the BV3, no external speakers at the moment. Although my dealer did phone me last week to offer me some Beolab1's. Lack of funds at present so had to pass. Craig

My problem is that my phone takes such a bashing at work, I could never use anything like a Serene. At present I have a Nokia 6230i. Free on 12 months contract. When it finally dies I will just have another free phone from my network provider. Craig

Have you got something like a local TV repair shop. What you need is someone who can do repairs at component level. Craig

Now got my copy playing. Been a long time since I have listened to this album. Going to have to look for a copy like the one you have Peter. How different/better does it sound compared to the oroiginal? Like the 30th anniversary edition of DSOTM to the original? Craig

Just had a look at their website. Looks like they are still made or at least listed. You said you have replaced the fuse. It will keep on blowing until you have replaced the faulty component. Can you see any numbers on the Capacitor, this should help you find a peplacement. it should be quite easy to replace it only has two connections, just a simple
