I am not sure you will be saving yourself very much money buy trying to buy a philips tube yourself, the tube itself will be cheaper to buy, but consider other points:- There are two different tubes used in this AVANT 28 which are B&O # 8200113 and for the Mark II is 8200126 The tubes which you get from B&O normally come pre-configured with

When you say "the display on 1 side is not working" I am assuming you are talking about one speaker display not working ? If so have you moved the powerlink cable from the working speaker into the other speaker to test the cable ? If the cable is not the fault, then this is certainly fixable. Does anything appear in the no working display
-
Chris, Perhaps you can give more detail, other than the level display, is there anything else whatsoever which shows signs of life ? What makes you think the power switch does not seem to work ? given you apparently have life in the level display.

Well, I think I would agree with all your points. Also would the TV also be to high up, if I look at my fire place, if I had a TV above it I could not look straight at it. Suggest you provide the feedback you stated
-
Dylan & Beoaus, I have sent you private messages..

Well, you made a statement which is very helpful, you said "We do not have an analogue aerial plugged in" Whilst you do not have an aerial plugged in, have you tried pressing the TV button when the fault occurs instead of Sky using DTV ? The one thing which still points to a AVANT power supply problem is the statement you made where you said
-
Well, given the main AVANT chassis was replaced and you still have the problem, then this problem is certainly power supply or earthing related. I am assuming that your B&O engineer has checked all the voltages out of the power supply PCB4 at plugs P41 P42 & P43, if they are all correct when the AVANT is failing then you should look at earthing
-
When you say "My Engineer" do you mean your B&O dealers engineer ? Given your description, my first thoughts are that it is power supply or earthing related related, when you say your engineer has fitted a new chassis, are you talking about the AVANT chassis or what ? When you say there is no picture or sound, is there a blank raster
-
Dylan, You will be fine with warranty provided a B&O dealer does the work.
-
Chris, Based on your brief description, it sounds like a power supply fault
