It shouldn't do! I have a similar set up. I have the input set to V Aux and use the RGB SCART lead.

I would change the batteries in the MCP first simply because this is the easiest thing to do. If it still happens after that, then we will need to see what to chase next!

I would suspect a solder joint has a crack in it for the fault to be intermittent. After that has been checked one would consider component failure - Martin will no doubt do a capacitor kit for this model.

The 4400/6000 is a good design of amplifier and well worth a look. The 1500 and 2200 are much the same design electronically but less powerful and would be extremely cheap - affordable enough just

Very nice Beogram - in my view the best! You do not need to change the powerplug. You should also avoid chopping off the DIN plug as this will decrease the Beogram's value. I would suggest having a look at this site for a suitable RIAA or ask Lee at Lifestyle AV .
