• Re: link problem

There must still be something wrong - in option 1, the audio/video products should not send the commands further to each other on the AVL cable (which is happening when you get duplicates), and only respond to their "own" commands. I suggest you reprogram the options, and keep the other kit disconnected from mains while doing it (not sure
That's what the service manual says. Not clear if the multiplicator is in hex or dez, so it could even be more (times 256 instead of 100) ending in "A" being 1045248 keypresses
That's easy to test - press a button a hundred times and see if the number increments or not. I don't think I

  • Re: Connecting Beovox 4500 Panel speakers to a Beocenter unit or a MCL2P

Unfortunately I've never heard these panel speakers. I have a pair of Jamo Graphic's (very similar in size & specs) elsewhere though, and they are excellent. I'd expect B&O to have done at least as well! As far as I understand the amplifiers in those Beocenters are pretty similar to the MCL2P - nothing special, but do their job quite
One small correction on the reply of Christian: The small round pin is the "+" and the bigger flat part is the "-". Regards, Bieele
And final conclusion: it doesn't matter as long as both (or all) speakers are connected the same way It's a good habit to connect them the "right"

  • Re: set top box from other country?

For terrestrial broadcasts, Australia is using DVB-T transmission standard just as Europe and South America. However, the problem is that the standard doesn't cover all details like the actual frequencies that are used (a "localized" tuner might not reach all frequencies you'd need), the compression method (MPEG2 now, but might change

  • Re: Sigma Delta chip in lhe Beocenter 2 AV

Unfortunately the service manual doesn't help here - the BC2 is from the newer era where you're only supposed to replace complete modules instead of real service. It doesn't have schematic diagrams, only instructions on mechanical work and coarse block & wiring diagrams. So, the only way to find out would be to take a look at the actual

  • Re: Beocenter 1 scare

I wouldn't get worried if it has only happened once. It may have been a temporary brown-out or disturbance in the mains power, and some microcontroller in the BC got confused (think of it as a computer crash).

  • Re: Compatibility of BeoSound 9000 and B&O RL7000 Passive Speakers

A far better performing - and contemporary - amplifier to drive the RL's would be a pair of Beolab 150/200 's. But finding that pair in good condition might be a task in itself! (and IMHO they would look utterly silly together )
