they will not "mend" per se... the foam rings "surrounds" will simply be replaced. as others may have mentioned, it would also be a good time to consider replacing the caps in the crossover. as they seem to have had little use, they should otherwise check out fine, and you can enjoy them for another 30 years! ++++edit++++ i should

ArgyleMoss: to be fair once its screwed to the wall it isnt flimsy at all. Anything more substantial isnt needed. -yes, in fairness, i would agree that once attached it is fine. [read better]

absolutely... they have been excellent! in this case... it came up as used w/ a low "bin" so... -it was a "quickie" and i certainly paid less than for a brand new one to see if i even liked it. which i do -though i feel that it is a bit flimsy -would like to see something more substantial. in the end, i will of course source them

well, ah... er... ummm... i am guilty of an ebay beo4 wall bracket purchase! i needed (1) as a sample... my nearest dealer is a min 4+ hours, so after shipping, etc... it was a push. as i will soon need more, i will order them from the dealer in bulk.

well... as elsewhere... perhaps w/ a better alliance or p&p integration w/ companies better suited for whatever that integration may be... (i'm thinking apple tv, etc...) i think they need the existing/coming re-organization, and -yes they will survive. on another note, coincidentally... today is the 10th anniversary of the imac -arguably apple's
