Andre personally I do not use anything abraisive on switch contacts in general ESPECIALLY if I cannot see what I am doing. The contact could have a thin plating that might be completly removed by said method so best to use a gentler method or replace the relay altogether. Regarding the brown stuff is it foam that has deteriated...?

Just one more thing, my speakers were well loved over time and used for a lot of party's until they were stored away by the previous owner. Look at the coils in the above picture... Would you say there is any sign of fatique or that they have been over-heating??? Personally I think you would be better working on these speakers yourself!

Assuming that Soren's point regarding previous mods is not true, I would be asking "And the capacitors and inductors in that part of the crossover are doing nothing?" This driver fills in a gap between bass and treble, if I remember rightly there is an overlap but the peak in response is fairly narrow, the majority of which lies within

Great post by John there. I defo fit in #.2 even if I had modern I would still enjoy the older vintage stuff due to early memories and lusting throughout my childhood! I have always argued B&O are ahead of everyone else when it comes to simply enjoying music. Of course they take things a step further and enhance not just the listening & user
