  • Re: Need Help with a buying decision...Beomaster 5000 or Beomaster 6000

I went from '80s Beomaster 2000 to Beomaster 6000 and Beomaster 8000. I still have 2 Beomaster 6000 for a few reasons. I can only compare to a Beomaster 6500 which is a bit more user friendly with remote, speakers and linking options. The Beomaster 6000 has the greater design than the 5000. The mat grey look does not look that good IMO. Sound is

  • Re: A True Beoworld Stalwart

If it was not for Martin most of my B&O would properly not be working right. It started of with my Beogram 8002 which was serviced for around 262£ by a local radio shop. A few months later it was nearly dead. No its old so no guarantee on the work. Martin had always said it was welcome but to me it still is a 4 hour train ride each way so

  • Re: Beogram 8000 'vs Beogram 8002

I still got Beogram 6006 and 8002. I got MMCL20 NOS which sounds wonderfull in all details on the 6006 through a Beomaster 6000 and Beovox S120 speakers. The 6006 came with a MMC20EN mounted and it sounds god. There is alot of life left in it but I use it as a spare. I also have MMC20S and E but they sound rather dull compared to the MMC20 range. The

  • Re: Beosystem 5500

I have just looked at dba.dk which is a Danish site with all kinds of ads and auctions. Most of the Beosystem 5500 cost more than 600$ when all 4 units are present. So if its any help 600$ is kind of fair since its missing the mmc4 and speakers. What about remote? Does it come with the MCP5500 og a Beolink 1000?

  • Re: Picture in Picture Module with a Beo4

Yes it does work. I have a PIP module in my '98 AV9000 IMP and it works great with a Beo4. Once it's added to the list simply push go and the picture you want like tv etc. To move the picture select PIP once more and use the coloured buttons to move it around the screen.

  • Re: MCL Link system, BM5500

It sounds like it might be the adjusment screw in the relay boxes. You can adjust the speaker level acording to the speakers you want to use with the relay box. You can set the ohm correctly and it will cut out if the level of volume is to much. The above is a relaybox with the 2047 Xtra speaker kit. Notice the black button to the right. That's

  • Re: Best beovox made??

I currently have: Beovox M150, S120, S80.2 and CX100. The Beovox M150 are connected to the Beolab 8000 system and they have tight bass and very acurate. Beovox S120 are very balanced and sound just as acurate. Used with the Beomaster 6000. Beovox S80.2 has less bass than S120 but nice sound and again acurate. Connected to Beosystem 6500 as main speakers

  • Re: What was your First Album?

I started to think about it and it looks like the winner is: Coctail soundtrack which came out on vinyl august 1988. I dug through the collection and found it. I properly bought it because of the song Don't worry be happy by Bobby Mcferrin. It was a bit of a hit back then. I'm not sure when I bought this record but 1988-89 is possiple. I also

  • Re: What was your First Album?

No idea. Thinking back my own record collection started around 1988-89 and I got a picture somewhere where I can see 4 albums being: Metallica Ride the lightning. Still got it Metallica Kill'em'all. Still got it Iron Maiden Somewhere in time. Gone Iron Maiden Seventh son of a seventh son. Gone I also recall a record with different rap artist
