I have a Macbook Pro, iMac, iTouch, iPad, and iPhone. So I obviously like Apple. I have Beoport connected to iMac and the Masterlink and have used it to listen to music. I also have Apple TV and have used it to listen to music. Recently I purchased a Beosound 5. I actually investigated and learned what the 5 would and would not do before purchasing

I plugged the Airport Express into an electrical outlet and the cable that came with the Airport Express plugs int the Beomaster. Did not need to buy anything other than the Airport Express.

Correct. I can load music on to it wirelessly using both Beoconnect on my iMac and using Beoplayer on a Windows laptop. N. Radio works. Also can stream music from it to iPad and use iPad to control the Beosound with the most recent software update. In other words, all works just as it should.

With Airport Express all I had to do was connect it.

I am not sure if this answers your question, but I have my Beosound 5 connected to an Airport Express.

I found another app. eLyric for iPad. Not only does it turn on the B and O, volume can be controlled from it, although it is a bit sensitive and easy to turn up too loud accidentally. Also, when an album is playing, touching the small icon opens it up to full page including album notes. Unfortunately, not all cover art is present.

I found an iPhone app called iMediacontrol. It is working very well. Even turns the B and O equipment on.
