I see 'only' one potential danger: you obviously like the speakers and this - after acquiring the second front pair - might turn into addiction. After adding more and more pairs you finally hit the proverbial wall, in that the number of speakers you can add is limited - if I remember correctly to 10 pairs? What are you going to to then ...

A bit off topic: I remember that speakers which actually attracted my attention to B&O (early 90s) were neither BL6000 or BL8000. In fact it was their passive speakers, namely BeoVox CX100 together with my friends Beocenter 9300, I think it was – I was totally amazed what sound (clarity/power) these small speakers produced in his little student

'I am planning to buy a pair to complement my study system' etc. - just to relate to the original line of argument: is that 'study system' supposed to be/develop into a surround-sound system, or what?! Or just a stereo? I have both BL8000, BL6000 - and BL5. The BL6000 + BL2 serve as study setup, ineed. The good news (for me, at least

In N.MUSIC: I had to pick an album eg and then use right button on the mouse to unfold a menu ("update cover", "update cover and info" etc.) then after going for one of the options things began to happen, ie covers start to appear etc. I have some obscure music so some of the covers were not to be found, but that's a different

Works quite great for me with the covers etc. - not having Beomedia1, now I wish even more to be able to use Santiago's solution with S-video connection between my PC and the TV downstairs. Unfortunately, it's quite a few meters between the devices .... The new version seems to have (slightly) improved how the video drivers for my TV card cooperate

BS5 a flagship audio product? … Hmmm Suppose one has (besides B&O video products) a few pairs of BL5s around the house (I know I know ... just for illustrative purpose as they are the only ones with dig input) - and a computer: Opening and playing all those lossless files on your computer, which contain data representing quality audio at

I also use both (B&O-supplied brushes - they are losing hair, by the way) and compressed air in cans. Regarding the latter - though these "dust guns" do not require any special permission to fire - I suggest you try it on a table lamp eg, before you go for the tweeters - or the CD mechanism of your Beosound. You will realize that certain

Don't use brute force removing the plastic surround: there are two (large plastic) screws standing in your way. You will find them if you look below/under the screen and surround, just where the red on/off switch is hidden...

Apologies for entering the discussion being owner of neither set compared, but I think The Beonic Man is - rightly - pointing at some generally interesting things … Though there is no doubt about HD superiority, I have no doubt either that I would easily 'convince' many, where I live, that my 2004 non-HD BV5 is a HD-set: all I need and

It does have it, BUT ... as many web pages contain more and more info it seems that one mostly gets the following message: 'file too large' on its screen instead of the page you wanted. Also, the software(?) does not support 'movie files'. Will there be any updates on this I don't know.
