This can be done by (while watching the BV8) pressing "AV" and then the Source you want to listen to (Radio/CD). AV needs to be added to the Beo4. One follow-up question from my side: I use this option also sometimes (BS9000 connected to Avant 28"); but to me it seems that the sound quality is not as good as direct listening to the Beosound
