To me, the first photos seem to be of the 8-40 while the last in white could be the 8-26 or 8-32... The 8-40 can't get by with the old 8-32 stand (unless you bolt it to the floor). Roger

When plugged in - can you get any info in the display by touching the volume control, moving your finger clockwise? If so, then it may be that you have left it plugged in for an extended periode of time without any use. Somehow the intelligent battery charger may have drained the battery and operation is not possible. A possible remedy is to plug it

There is a supplied cable with the Serenata for connecting it to your BeoLab's. Sound quality is superb as it can handle lossless. Roger

Historically, when something is greyed out in a B&O menu you will have to add hardware to make it work. But this could be as simple as adding a temporary device to your BS3 for calibration purposes... Roger

The tv will switch between format 1 and 3 depending on the voltage of pin 8 on the scart (6v or 12v), this is also known as widescreen signaling (WSS) - when you set your set-top-box to give a 16:9-feed to your TV it will use pin 8 to switch between 6v and 12v, but some boxes will have a constant "format 3"-voltage on pin 8 if they are set
