Okay - thanks to all concerned for adding in whatever way was constructive. We now kind of see the point trying to be made, and personally I sympathise if he feels aggrieved in any way. However, the conduct when trying to air this grievance was unacceptable - and after repeated warnings nothing changed. I think this thread has now run its course, and

Well, this really is an odd one... Whilst Mr Marks clearly has something to say - he's finding it somewhat difficult to do. Yes - ANY cloth fret can be re-covered. You just need the correct material and someone who's good. The chap who did mine is UK based though - so shipping your frets from the US and back would cost a fortune sadly.. Lee

The version where the laser travels in an arc is the older version. The 'straight' laser is the newer. Straight lasers are slightly more reliable, but to be fair a failed laser isn't too common. Lee
