  • Re: How to remove RL60 speaker grill

This should give you a good idea of the construction, the drivers and crossover will of course be different. And yes, you really need to dismantle most of the speaker to see the drivers - the grille/fret itself will be about the last thing to come off, as the whole speaker is constructed on it!

  • Re: BeoGram 4002 w/MMC6000 Quad?

The RIAA amplification is a side effect of the CD-4 decoder and it does that all the time, even for pure stereo playback. As said, if you don't get line level signals out of your turntable, the decoder board option is not there - the switch may still be present, and does nothing in that case. Actual CD-4 detection and decoding is automatic. The

  • Re: Looking for Beosound 9000 Original CDs

I've seen that set you're referring to a couple of times on German eBay. I was actually planning to buy a set, just for the music, but the price got above 100 euros as I recall...

You'll have to arrange that nice calm lake I have over here 5 meters from the sauna door as well! Just point out the swans to her, they are romantic as long as you don't get too close Regarding that other thing, here's a link to get you started: Beomaster 901 I suppose these will end up quite a bit more expensive than Peter's estimates

  • Re: Forum and Firefox - a tweak to save your sanity

You're right - sometimes really old versions can come up from the cache, especially if you have been following "latest post" links before, and never the "clean" url without the #2739472 or whatever anchor in the end. Another thing that seems problematic is editing your old posts multiple times - sometimes you get a really old

  • Re: Beomaster ?

I had a Beocenter 2800 (one of my first pieces of B&O kit), which is essentially a Beomaster 1500 with a turntable. Like most everything I've ever bought, it needed service (the infamous sticking push-buttons and several smaller problems) and I didn't find it that horrible - except for the front panel, which was a royal pain in the derrier

  • Re: Pictures of your B&O Setup/Accessories

Unfortunately that thread was pre-forum upgrade, and so it has lost all of its inline pictures which makes it pretty much useless I wouldn't mind a rerun - but on the other hand, we have now this "media" feature (look in the menu bar on top of the page) which has quite a lot of pictures already. It lacks the associated chit-chat which

  • Re: White frets issue

I believe only if you smoke indoors I've aqcuired a number of stuff where that problem was evident on black frets. Over the drivers, the air moves in & out more than elsewhere, and the dust gets caught... most became quite nice with a thorough wash, though.
