  • Re: Why are some people on the sub-forums but not on the main forum?

To tell the truth, I very seldom note where my posts go. I read almost exclusively through the "Posts you have not read" link - I only select a subforum when I start a new thread. I think I have also posted in German, Scandinavian and even in Dutch forums when I've felt I have something worthwhile to say - I try to maintain the original

  • Re: Spotted: Tiny Short Term Rental Central London: http://www.theluxpod.com/

It would take me about one evening to haul all that crap out to make room for my B&O collection, and end up with a cupboard similar to this one I'm living in now, except in a noisier environment. But oh crap, I have to pay for my broadband

  • Re: Project: Refoamed the ABR on my RL60 Redline speakers.

This must be the most straightforward RL60 ABR fix I've seen so far! Congratulations and welcome to the forum I don't quite believe that a random foam stock from Home Depot will have very similar characteristics to the original (well, it could be pretty close...) but they must sound immensely better than a void + a rattling metal plate! If you

  • Re: Tuning BM7000 with Beo4

Well, yeah, a BL1000 is passable for setup and absolutely fine for daily use - but when all you have is a virgin BM7000, a Beo4, and a BL7000 that just ran flat on its battery...

  • Re: Tuning BM7000 with Beo4

And it is the same with BM6500 - this V.SETUP trick won't work in option 1. Beolink 1000 indeed sends two different GOTO commands in video and audio mode. Beo4 sends the video-GOTO only after you have listed to V.SETUP, clicked on GO (the display changes to TUNE) and then either a digit or diamond-up or diamond-down. From there on it will just send

  • Re: Tuning BM7000 with Beo4

Yes, that makes sense - but I thought (as said in one of the previous threads) that the V.SETUP of Beo4 and GOTO of Beolink 1000 were the same command, and I believe tuning this BM worked with a BL1000 even in option 1. It certainly does with my Beomaster 6500. I'll check the actual command codes later tonight when I get home...

No, 1. But I changed it to 2 and now the scanning works! Looks like the other threads I found on this lacked that step. Thanks

  • Tuning BM7000 with Beo4

Yes, I know this must be a FAQ, and I searched the forum and found the answer. The thing is that the trick doesn't work with this Beomaster 7000 I have here. I did exactly as described: added V.SETUP to Beo4 turned the Beomaster on radio went to another room to click TV on Beo4 returned and LISTed to V.SETUP clicked on GO, Beo4 shows TUNE ...and

  • Old photography - in high resolution

Since we have a lot of photography enthusiasts on board, I'd like to share this site that has kept me busy for hours and hours: http://www.shorpy.com/ It contains loads and loads of nice pictures, dating from your youth all the way back to the American civil war. Often funny, sometimes touching and mostly amazing. After all that megapixel boredom

  • Re: mx4002 or beolink passive as link room amp

I believe the innards are very similar to MX6000 - I have a pair of spare CX50's connected to mine for improved stereo image, and I took a look in the service manual for just this. The internal speakers are hard wired, i.e they always play. It would not be a big job to open the TV set and just unplug the speakers (there are internal connectors for
