Check amp DC offset. Replace trimmers at the amp board and readjust to factory specs. Replace capacitors, especially at the amp board and module 16 - a kit is available. Check for cracked solders at module 14 (connectors) and where the connections goes to the processor board. Martin

Did you buy it ? Can we have a photo ? Martin

Sounds like an unstable power supply for the processor. Capacitors ... Martin

Probably oxidation in the stop button, that's very common in these Beograms after standing unused for a long time. Try activating the stop button several times, 40-50 or more. You may even add more than a fair amount of fingerpressure. I'm sure that it will make it work again. The pause button should just lift the tonearm and stop the platter

Thanks, I have the manual and schematics with the 24-pin IC so no need for that. I believe both versions were type 2035 and they are completely the same on the outside and in function. Actually, the 20-pin version is the one' I've seen most often. Martin

Turned out the Terminal 5000 schematics were close enough and a closer inspection revealed the problem to be with the IC itself so I am now looking for the 20-pin IC, a board or a whole Terminal 6000 to use for parts for an otherwise mint one that I would hate to give up on. Something spilled in/on it, burn marks, worn lettering or similar is no problem

You have the same fault on three decks ? Do you have the correct transformer module according to your mains frequency ? Beogram 6006 / 8000 / 8002 won't work with just a voltage converter as their function depends greatly on the mains frequency and there are different transformers to suit 50 and 60Hz respectively. Martin

Hi, Yes, it is indeed a Terminal 6000. I agree that it has a very similar circuit to the Terminal 5000 but not quite the same... I have a fault in the button matrix and as the contact board is covered in black plastic, I would prefer to look at a diagram to select areas to attack rather than take it all apart. Valve stuff is fascinating and exciting

I can't promise anything but I will definitely look for one. Martin

I am looking for a schematic diagram of the Beomaster Terminal for the 1980's Beomaster 6000 (Terminal is Type 2035). There are two versions of this remote control, I need the schematics for the version using a 20-pin IC with a small diode matrix (the other version uses a 24-pin IC and no diode matrix). Anyone ? Martin
