A new STB-C chip has been released which covers the Virgin V+ box, Apple Remote and the Sony Playstation 3. This is for the Avant etc.

B&O recognised this problem as the range of decks that took over from the this series have a record detection mechanism - it weighs the record and if not there the arm will not drop. If it is any consolation, this is one more thing to go wrong! The arms are so light weight that the stylus is unlikely to come to much harm if only done a few times

You can use the 91.2 as a second audio tape player if you want! It connects via the Tape 2 connection and Datalink means you can control it using the Tape 2 source just as any other tape player. Very useful!

The cassette and video were with it originally, though not the CD. It is the 5500 version.

In the Mark 2 and 3, if the overload is severe, the speakers cut out and the orange light comes on. There is no indicator of the Dynamic Clipping Circuit.

The question is not on my lips! More concerned that my broadband is so slow that I cannot stream SD! The infrastructure in the further reaches of the UK is such that this is still fantasy. And I don't want 22.2 sound or a 100" screen! Quite happy with a 32" or less! Actually the 2 screens we are using the most at present are both 4:3 28"

No experience as I am a Sky viewer, but Technomate seem to be well reviewed.
