jordan, 1.) stability: the motor and pulley should be "loose" and move around (within reason). that allows for the manual speed adjustment accessed by the coin-edged wheel on the left hand side -once the platter is belted. 2.) the motor does not look very complicated. i will recuse to those on here that have actually performed the cleaning

jonathan, what part of the states are you in? re: the volume lights -it is prob exactly that. the tiny light kernels are prone to failure. i am surprised that all the other ones work. if you decide to replace them, i would suggest replacing all of them. member: dillen -has a light kit available for these of the correct type.

Puncher: As I understand it there has been an open invitation since the new Beoworld began for anyone to write a review of a product they own or to propose/update items in the faq section. • Re: Beomaster 7000 amplifier problem

Peter : Just check that there is not a dodgy connection in the DIN plug of the loudspeaker though! i had a very similar situation w/ a bm6000. it, in fact, turned out to be the wiring in the din plug! certainly worth a look!

complete agreement w/ philippe! it is amazing how often i see similar questions and the same answers! compiling all this info into a wiki would be great! unify the faq's, product manuals, product images... yahoo! i also agree w/ the moderation, and controlled access for editing! it needs to be as accurate as possible, not opinions. ...and that is

@ peter: could you confirm for me which "old" 3000 -the late 60's unhinged or early 70's hinged? i have a spare 5231 (i believe - will have to chk tonight). if it is that, i could provide the motor to the op if he needs one -of course after i confirm that is ok and worth sending! ;-)
