Changing the grille colour on a Beovision 5?

That is the best way - though the Beo5 could be programmed to do it as well. The Beovision 7 with Blu-ray should be with us in May. Can be retrofitted in late BV7-40s.

The 6000 is the same width as the Beocord 8004 etc and uses the same wooden surround. It does have a heatsink on the back as well though. The 8000 is as you say very big and very heavy! To tune , you press radio and then use the << and >> buttons. If you want to tune manually in small steps, Press Go To, and then the << and >> buttons. Then preset as above. To change to AM from FM and vice versa, press the Turn button.

Tune to the channel you want; press Preset on the secondary panel and the first free preset will flash. If you want a different preset number, key in the number, then press Store!

Which 1500? There are two - one has a built in amplifier and a row of knobs down one side - that will just connect to some speakers - about 8W a channel. The later 70s/80s model needs an amplifier - non B&O are fine but make sure they have a dedicated record player input.

Most people are on Beoworld because they love the products. We have almost no-one here that I would regard as a troll. However I feel it is perfectly acceptable to criticise products - especially when they are poor.
