  • Re: What camera do you use?

this thread re-sparked my interest in film having shot digital for the last ~7+ years or so. over the last few weeks i resurrected my old ~35 year nikon nikkor el. it was in pretty rough shape having sat dormant for nearly 20 years. it took several days of c/l/a and yesterday i ran my first roll thru it. i had forgotten how much work film can be, but

oh dear, i just got back from the "weekend" and the thread headed into one of my favorites -amoc'er here! my favorite 4-wheeler. regarding rr: i suppose i can name drop a little as both parties are deceased... my wife's uncle was a longtime rroc'er/rr historian and a veritable walking encyclopedia of particularly the hooper cars

  • Re: Double-Speed Beocord 9000

jeff, thanks! -wouldn't say it was "important." i was just curious as it seems that most people on here have very similar interests outside of b&o. (cars, camera, computers, etc...) -as we are both in north america and i have always been a big fan of british cars, "fine" or otherwise -i thought this may well be one of those

Piaf: Having owned several fine British motorcars, I am accustomed to listening for sounds of trouble, and quite frankly, this “didn’t sound expensive….” So what do you guys think? what is you definition of fine?

  • Re: I give up - B&O 4002 TT - DIN pin-out query

revjac: In the interim, I pulled the DIN, a 5 pin, and mine has brown, red, yellow and blue wires along with a copper stranded ground wire and another stranded shield wire. Two of the wires (yellow and brown) were broken off inside the DIN plug - which may or may not have been my fault during dissassembly (is that a word?) The only info I found was

  • Re: Speakers ports Beocenter 9500

@ jonblund prior to doing any dis-assembly -esp rotating the top into the service position... please, please, please make sure that the glass panels are either firmly attached to their foam surrounds or are removed. i had the pleasure of having the bottom one crash to the floor and explode into pieces. worst thing was: i knew it was loose, and forgot

  • Re: b&o furniture

andy: i believe you are right... that particular base is (1) unit as i recall. bwaje: BTW, the speaker stands of the same era (the silver ones) are an exact match to the base of this cabinet. the setup looks great if you should come across a pair of them too.

the "wood part" can't be dis-assembled, short of perhaps removing the cassette tray. the "wood part" simply rests on the lower "metal part" = base. i can't remember if the 70 base can be broken down any further... FWIW - it is not *that* heavy or big.

  • Re: New to beoworld

well, that is a good idea. if the deck is known good, then you should get something out of it. set the preset vol to low, if you are worried about it being too loud at startup nothing from the ttable, could be from a bad stylus and nothing else. nothing from fm, could be the missing aerial -turn the fm and afc switches to "off" and try again
