The Beogram 1200 will only lift and stop. It won't return by itself. I'm sure that if you play some records you'll like it and become addicted. There's nothing like viewing the media rotating as it is played, ipods are smart alright but provides no eye-candy. Martin

Hej Gert, Beomaster 1900/2400 kan godt være lidt vanskelige hvis man ikke kender B&O og deres metoder godt men den vejledning der kommer med lampesættet med fotos osv. er ret god så jeg vil tro, din far nok skal klare den. Du har en PM angående lamper. (Check din inbox øverst til højre). Martin

Hej og velkommen til Beoworld ! "Pærerne" i Beomaster 2000 er faktisk store flade lysdioder hvor det er rigtige glødelamper i BM2400 så de kan ikke byttes. Desuden kan det som regel ikke undgåes, at flere lamper går i stykker når der arbejdes med apparatet, da glødetrådene bliver skrøbelige

Of course you can measure the tapehead coils but defective heads are far between in these decks. The head relay and dolby relay (in some models) is far more likely candidates. Also cracked solders at the tapehead connector, the connectors between the two upper boards and where the ribbon cables meet the lower board. Also any cap in the signal path or

Yes, it's 1R29 on the main board. I like to adjust it with everything mounted, platter, belt etc. to "simulate" normal conditions and then simply adjust the trimmer for the smoothest motor run. It's quite easy to hear when you hit the right spot and I've found this method works much more reliable than the "official",

Probably a relay contact, a capacitor or a cracked solder somewhere. You will have to put an oscilloscope to the signal path to see where the signal is lost. Recently, I've noticed an increasing amount of faults related to the opamps used in these decks. Martin

Nice work, John ! I noticed these are long-throw woofers, you can see the rubber roll is a large diameter. This means that they will potentially be a little more bass-rich than the original woofers but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They may even add a little low freq. loudness which I know some people like (including myself). Let's know
