It was a stereo system that would sit on a table kind of like a 9500 or 9300 but was from the 1970s I think. It was edged with light coloured wood and had an aluminium fascia on which the controls were mounted. One of which was a large rotar control (about the size of a saucer or a CD). This is all from memory so

I may be about to express a view that could have me banned. I’m not so sure the blessed Jensen is that good a ‘designer’! I am a huge admirer of many of his products and have owned or own a BG 4000, BG4004, BG 1001, BG 1700 BM 2400, BC 1600, BC 4000, BL 1700, Beocord 5000, Beocord 1900 and a number of Beovoxes. But I think what we

There are differences between the BS3000 and BC2300 - as far as the CD is concerned these are because the Philips assembly was updated regularly - it doesn't however always follow that newer is better! However remeber these devices do have service lives and it makes sense to get a

Really pleased to see such an enthusiastic bunch of Saab owning Beoworlders. Currently run an 1996 9000 CSE which is big, comfortable and ideal for collecting mint M100s from Scotland (in my dreams). Previous Saab was a series 1 900 Turbo 16S Aero which I loved dearly. Currently looking for a late Series 1 900 Turbo 16s Aero Convertible in Dark Grey

Wondered what UK Beoworlders thought of the latest announcement to phase out FM (and AM) radio by 2015. Whilst I acknowledge that Digital TV offered improved picture quality over the old analogue system, I have yet to hear a DAB tuner or radio that compares to a reasonable FM signal. And the though of all Frede's work on your Beomaster 5000s going
[Will there be another one any time soon? The first one was a couple of years ago now and I would have gone were it not for moving house around the same time...
I was wondering about this a few weeks ago. Having not been aware of Beoworld when the last trip seemed to take place, I would be interested if another

Peter, Thanks. This one has a beautiful figured Rosewood frame and has the original packaging . Another step along the way to the perfect Rosewood 4000! Cleve

Mika, That is really helpful - I've just agreed to buy a BG4004 and your post will make sure I get it home safely. A stupid question (I'm very good at these!) When the platter, etc have all been removed, do you slide the wooden frame back into place before packing the thing up? I assume you do but I would like to make sure. Cleve

Peter, A happy official birthday for today! Just to echo many of the sentiments expressed already, thank you very much for all the advice and guidance. Perhaps even more, thank you for your amazing generosity. In a world where everything now seems to have a price, you have demonstrated a very different set of values; values that are really very rare
