  • Re: Problems with Beo4 Remote ??

Hi A quick and easy way to dertermine if your remote control is transmitting a signal is to look at it through your camera phone while pressing a button on the remote. The display on your camera/phone will see the infra red transmitters blinking. I've done this a few times to verify that a remote is transmitting. Happy New Year to all and all the

  • Re: I'm so sorry to ask this masterlink question

Hi Dave The Masterlink manual is very useful and full of loads of information but you do need to get your head around the terminology. Perhaps I can explain it this way: Option0 = No response to any remote commands Option1 = Main products only respond to like minded commands. i.e. BeoSound products only respond to audio commands and BeoVision products

  • Re: Regrets - What have you sold or given away & wish you hadn't?

BeoSystem7000 (all four units & MCP). Sold it on when I got my BeoSound3000 and BeoLab4000's. Wish I had kept it all, but I have since acquired a BeoGram9500 to play through BeoSound3000. Also years ago I had an LX2802. Even though I now have an real flat Avant, I thought that the LX sets were a classic design. I also regret not hanging on to

  • Re: Beovision 28 vcr

Check the Scart lead is plugged in properly at both ends. This is a common problem if the scart plug is slightly loose. Opman

  • Re: Beocom 6000 problems

When you unplug the base from the mains, switch the handsets off as well. Then re-connect the mains first, then switch the handets back on. I find that usually helps the handsets to re-establish connection ot the base. The mark 1 handsets are switched by holding down the "dot" button to the left of the wheel for about 7 seconds until the display

  • Re: SKY HD SWITCHING OFF IN LINK ROOMS WHEN AVANT IN SWITCHED OFF

Hi Rob It is only possible to have one Video master on a link system. Therefore if the BeoVision7 is the master, the Avant must be option programmed as a link room tv. That in turn means that sources connected to the Avant can only be accessed in that link room. To control the Sky box from a link room it will have to be done via the BeoVision7. As you

  • Re: Avant moving from Sky to Sky+ box - STB module stops working????

Hello Guy As you will have realised when your Sky+ was installed, it uses a different Sky remote. Depending on the age/software level in your Avant, you may be able to simply change the setting in your connections menu. When you assign the scart socket to a decoder, it will automatically take you to a list of available boxes. If Sky+ isn't on the

  • Re: Beovision 8 - 32 LCD Television

moxxey: The BV8 is 'ok'. Good picture and excellent sound. If you push hard, you may be able to receive a further discount. Indeed, I managed to buy my BV8-26 from a dealer and saved 15% from the RRP. Ask and be prepared to walk away if necessary. With the discount and a trade-in, it starts representing better value. However, I don't think

  • Re: New Strategy for B&O

Given the current rate of UK dealers closing (due to the franchise not making enough profit to stay in business) I think it unlikely that any new strategy will include price reductions that will reduce the dealers margins even further. Don't forget that at the moment in the UK we have the option to buy over 12 months with no interest charge, a free

  • Re: Terrifying B&O Stories!

I visited a customer with a view to upgrading her MX7000 for Bvis7. She had a Freeview box connected to the MX7000. During the course of the conversation, she mentioned that the TV had a habit of switching itself on in the middle of the night. When she came down for breakfast the set was on. Her children thought that she must be losing her marbles and
