• Compatibility of Terminal 3000

Hi all, Does anybody know if the Terminal 3000 is compatible with the Beomaster 5000 (Terminal 5000)? I sourced a couple of 3000 but not a 5000 and wonder if I could control the Beosystem 5000 with this since the Terminal 5000 is quite rare to find this time.

  • Re: Beo6 on B&O's website

Frankly spoken, I would expect a bit different design than oversized Beo5. Technically wise I think it's a great improvement with the wifi that gives alot of potential. If only it could be like Beo4. It would be by far more handy to use and in my opinion more beautiful.

Karel that's a good point but I don't think they made such a mistake since it would be worthless to current customer list!!!!
You can see the screen is thinner and the + and zone buttons now seem to be in the screen, rather than printed onto the screen. No mention of WIFI. Strange...
Downloaded the Greek instructions' manual and it is there. It instructs how to setup the wifi!

  • Re: Beocom 5 Question

Hello Karel, Many thanks for clearing it up. So I guess Beocom 5 still has a long way to go!!! I'm thinking of changing my Beocom 4 in the office but on seconds thoughts, I think my Beocom 4 it's really excellent for my everyday use!!!!! Indeed it's a petty that it's still behind current technology. Best regards Spiros

  • Beocom 5 Question

Dear all, just a question about the Beocom 5. In the B&O site it mentions that it can be used with std landlines and IP telephony. Does anybody know if the IP they mean is the one that some companies use with VoIP or it can be used with e.g. Skype. Which means that you can obviously log in through the phone, but I could not find anywhere anything
