Can anyone confirm for me the correct bulb for the BM900 Dial lamps. I've taken them out and can see they are 6.3v but what ampage are they. It doesnt say in the service manual, just type 8024. If some one could help that would be great, then I can get the bulbs and bring light back to it.

I would just like to add my thanks to all the Moderators and members of Beoworld. Without this site my home would be free from clutter and not full of old stereos that I dont really need! Every one on here seems if friendly, generous and helpful. Many thanks Beoworld and Merry Christmas to every one.
Interested to hear what the sound is like. I'd use a CDX too with the 5000 and Pentas. What's the sound like?
So far, very nice indeed! I'm starting to think that its the 8000 that may have to be sacrificed. That way I could keep the 6000 which was my first proper B&O purchase and I have become

Well I will keep you in mind because I am not sure which system to keep. At the moment I have a Beolab 8000 system on its stand, the Beolab 5000 system and my trusty BM6000 with CDX all in one room (not that big a room either) and am getting shouted at quite often! I am torn between the 8000 and the 5000 and know that whichever I get rid of I will regret

Does anyone use Beovox Pentas with there Beolab 5000 system. I am thinking of doing it with mine and just wondered if anyone had any opinions. I would have thought the 5000 had enough oomph for Pentas and the styling is more in keeping for what I am after. I have connected them up and they sound good but wanted to gather others opinions.

Just a quickie, is replacing the mirrored panels on a 9500 a DIY job. Ive had a look at the service manual and it doesnt seem that difficult but then nothing does when you read the service manual!

I recently got hold of a Beomaster 8000 and the Beolab terminal remote and the remote does not work. Are there any simple things known to go wrong with these? I know the Beomaster is fine as it responds to my BM6000 remote and have checked the Beolab terminal using the "digital camera trick" so know for sure that its the remote thats dead

Does anyone have a Remote for either the 80's BM6000 or the BM8000 available that I could buy from them. Condition is not too important but it must work. Its for a BM8000 but as the 6000 does control the important bits I would make do with one of those.
