Finally got my BS3 set up today and noticed that the audio in the link rooms are unusually offset compared to my BS1. It's annoying because it sounds like a an echo when in adjacent rooms. I thought it might be the fact that I'm using HDMI (+audio) for the first time and there may be some extra processing required in the signal path. However

What are the actual nuances of the picture processing. I'm well aware of the quality scaling that the BS3 performs. What else goes on? Is there much noise/artifact processing? I always hear that it does but it's always a vague reference. Does it clean up much with HD compression artifacts? In regard to HDMI and upscaling. I've currently

I also suggest adding a Beosound4 + BL4000s. You will eventually want to buy BL3s or higher for technical/audio/ego reasons but the 4000s are awfully close to the BL3s and are equally impressive to look at visually. They would make excellent Link room speakers down the road if you ever decided to upgrade. The biggest advantage I see with the 4000s is

I've purchased a BS3 but probably won't get it for at least another week. Here in Atlanta we have excellent HDTV broadcasting over the air for the major networks. I was told that the BS3 has an ATSC HDTV tuner built-in. Does anyone have experience with the performance of the built-in tuner? We were very happy with the performance of our Samsung

I just hooked up my Apple TV to my recently acquired Avant and discovered that the Component input seems to be behaving strangely. In certain types of scenes there are flashing darker areas or bands that appear within the image. They are not random but appear to react to what is in the image. I noticed it first with my AppleTV but assumed it was the

Nothing I know about with the Beo4. I recall that the set up was always a little tricky and that the BS1 didn't like things changing (new sources, inputs etc.) while already on. Your source settings could be messed up to some degree. Try plugging a source into the single input on the front of the box and see if you can see it ( this is a temporary

This is my solution to finding a good location for the IR Eye within a BV4 and 7.4 combo. Visually, as well as technically I think the eye should mount in the same place where the 7.4 speaker should mount (Directly below the center of the screen). I've found that the sandwiching of the three seems like a visual compromise unbecoming of the B&O

It doesn't look like there is a way to do this yet but it seems like the Beo5 is missing a menu timeout option for certain menus like on the Beo4 ( speaker mode etc.) I think this would be an obvious addition to a remote that has so many menus. Most likely a simple add on to the software. Anyone else see this as a benefit? Not sure we have a voice

I didn't know that Crestron was used that much in the UK or Europe. I've always found Crestron to be a bit clunky on the hardware side, but it's programming seems to be pretty robust. Its pretty much the standard here in the US. However, the software is highly protected and it seems almost impossible to implement without including a AV team

You may want to be careful splicing cables for B&O speakers. At least in my case I've found that deviating from "certified" MKIII Powerlink cable is a recipe for introducing hum etc. The newer Ice powered models seemed to be more susceptible. I had to replace some cabling that I had professionally installed by B&O that caused some
