Hi it says S/W 1.5s on the back - could this be the problem? - I would of thought it would be capable of being linked to the other TV as they're roughly the same age. I'm wondering if it could be the video or a setting on the MX3500 - although that works fine with the stereo

Hi - thanks for the replies - I pulled the scart cable out and it doesn't work at all so assume it's controlled by the TV - the odd thing is that if you switch to TV or sat it doesn't stop the VCR - also switcing off the TV doesn't stop the VCR unless you hold the off button on the remote off - do you think it could be something to do

I think I've sussed it - perhaps I need to connect the MX3500 through it's own data link converter into the Master Link as I can't seem to get the sound by doin AV VCR AV through the stereo - I seem to remember it's one way or something - and sets itself when you power the whole system off and on - also there's no control of the

Hi thanks - cool tried that and I managed to get the TV tuned in so that when I press VCR I get the Video frequency - just wondering why I can't control the VCR - I'll check cables and stuff but suspect I might need the software update then - do you know if I'm using the right options?

The CD and Radio work fine - it's getting the Video to play - tried link video link and then tuning to channel 39 but that doesn't seem to work as when I press it again the screen is fuzzy but does show the vcr menu when I press link vcr.

I have a an MX3500 in my bedroom and bought another datalink cable - 7Pin Din and a Y link datalink cable to joing the two data link cables into the converter box - the theory being

Having just got an LX4500 - I'm now thinking of going the whole hog and buying an Avant DVD, but I have a couple of question: 1) If I use the LX4500 in my bedroom and link it to the Avant and my BS3000 will DVD's and satellite play on the LX4500 in widescreen rather than 4:3 or is there a setting like there is on the sky box 2) Do most of the

I had a similar setup a while ago and it will work by using a fully wired powerlink cable from the BS9000 to the passive - no need for the remote eye then. The normal powerlink cables won't work for some reason.

I have an LX4500 connected to a VX5000 - and this only leaves 1 spare scart socket for the satellite recevier and DVD player - as I want to buy a DVD1 in future, does anyone know if I can connect the satellite to the decoder socket on the VX5000 and how would I access it from a Beolink 1000. I've tried to do it but am unable to get a picture other

Just thought I'd share this with other Beoworld members (after a bottle of wine). I have a BS3000 (living room), MX3500 in my bedroom (linked) and had a big Philips widescreen TV in my living room - anyway, I saw an LX4500 and VX5000 on e-bay and bought them to replace the philips TV - even though the LX screen is smaller the difference between
