• Re: Beosound 3 - Setting up clock

The way it works with mine is: 1) Press and hold stand-by until the --:-- appears 2) Release the stand-by button 3) Press and hold up or down arrow to set time. If this is not working, then you probably have a fault. BS3's (especially early ones) are known to have problems with their control panel :(. Although, usually, the behavior is far worse

  • Re: Setup question

The ability to translate Radio to N.Radio only works when the BS5 is the audio master (and I think without a BeoVision, you must connect the speakers to the BS5 for it to be audio master). You can slave the BS3000 to the BS5, but then you cannot listen to BS3000 sources in your link rooms (at least this is how it worked when I tried to "slave"
I am surprised by "Ability to turn MOTS off. It would be very nice to play an album on the BS5 in the same way as playing an old fashioned CD. e.g start it from any track, and move up or down through the tracks as I liked. " Can't I do this.
With respect to start it from any track, you cannot do

  • Re: How does one connect a BeoLink PC2 with Avant and Overture?

Minimally, you need to connect the PC2 into your MasterLink (wire it into the junction box if there's room) and connect the USB and Audio In to your computer (Audio out of computer goes to Audio In of PC2, you need BeoPlayer installed on your computer (or BMLink or another program that was developed by somebody on this site if Mac). The IR port

  • Re: What was your first B&O purchase and why did you purchase?

A BS1. I was in search of the best sounding "all in one" stereo for my office (had looked at Bose, Denon, Nakimichi and a few others). I heard the BS1 and that was it. Seach was over. To my ears, it sounded far better than anything else. It also helped that it looked cool, had a great remote, had some metal surfaces (vs. all plastic) and had

  • Re: Apple's New Invention. Or Is It?
I wonder why B&O didn't use touch screen for the Beosound 5?
Fingerprints. Personally, I'm glad it's not a touch screen. I'd have to clean it after every use. The BS3 also has these really amazing buttonless buttons which look cool and offer a "wow". Unfortunately, from a practical

  • Re: Beolab 2 - any regrets?

One of my favorite purchases... and I only use it for music. I'm not a bass-aholic. Hate boomy bass. With proper positioning and settings (I spent ~30 minutes on this), it adds (imho) a natural, seamless low end extension to the BL8000s. Then again, please heed the advice above about listening to it in your own home if possible. Everybody's

  • Re: BeoCom 5-US Use Comments

I really cannot believe it has taken 160 days with no resolution. Perhaps B&O outsourced this software development (like everybody on this board thinks they should) and the vendor is now busy on other contracts now. Outsourcing can be a double-edged sword... Or worse, perhaps they let the staff go since they're not making any new phones... As

I have also tried to use the "Contact Us" link on the main page and get the following error: 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
