  • Re: speaker choice

Work out a budget first some cheaper options are. Medium B&O price option - BL9's at the front, a BL2 sub and BL3's in the rear. You could go for BL8000's at the front, a BL2 sub and BL4000's at the rear. You are very lucky.... Beoaus.

  • Re: Beogram 5005 Problem

Its possible the desk got a bit of a shunt in transport. Can you gently pull the innards forward? Does sthe problem still occur?. This crude method was recommended to me and it solved a similar problem. BTW I was not so gentle in the end... Beoaus.

  • Re: Beolink Active - PC Input

Keith, Thanks for the reply. I didn't connect a powerlink cable to the PC connection, just the PC input adapter.I didn't actually mean the PC connector was for a powerlink cable it was just meant as a description of the socket. ....this comes about when you try to explain something that you are struggling with in order to get some help.....

  • Re: Beolink Active - PC Input

Unit came back with a big "No faults found". In fact another tested exactly the same. In the meantime I have dug up some information that relates to what the Beolink Active does with ground thru ML to powerlink. PC and Powerlink are joined in the box through it seems the way it is done probably necessitates different powerlink or PC input

  • Re: What is the best pre-amp to Beogram turntables?

...... Rather than best it's best value for me........The QED Discsaver is a relatively cheap phono stage that B&O Australia recommended and I have no problems with it. There was a company in Sydney that brought them in. I bought mine from B&O. It compared well against other more expensive units. I got a cable made with the additional earth

  • Re: BEOGRAM 3300 Stylus and cartridge replacement help - Australia

Cartridge and stylus are in one, check the product section on this site. If you need to source another cartridge a SMMC4 from Sound Smith in the States or trying your luck on ebay for one of the B&O originals are your best options. Try taking the 3300 or cartridge to B&O Service they can probably test each for you. Did you get the phono stage
