Thanks for the link - I'm inside this deck now, and may take the time to do more than just figure out what's wrong with the transmission to the tonearm assembly.

I'm still not getting an engage from the servo motor to the tone arm when I click play. But I'll figure it out, step-by-step.
-
Yes - it does, when the upper camwheel is in the correct position. And I could easily push it to the correct position for removal of the top. While experimenting with getting the cam's in the right position, the tone-arm assembly has locked to its gears. I suspect the reason the servo drivebelt jumped off its wheel could be that something's
-
Yes, I'm doing the same - but it appears that the sequence has "jumped" - as the servo motor is no longer driving the tonearm assembly. The servo motor runs, but there's no transfer to the drive wheel. There's an electrical connection, if I move the tonearm a little to the left, the servo engages - but the large wheel (with the

(Posted this in the Beogram section, but going to try my luck here, as well.) Through some mystery, the drive belt of my servo motor on the BG6500 decided to jump off. I've opened the deck up, put the belt where it should be, took the opportunity to remove hardened grease and put on fresh. Now I'd like to know how to position the camwheels correctly

My first B&O, an excellent Beocenter - have only good memories, worked without any flaws, allowed me to wire my first apartment (after university), and to enjoy the luxury of music in several rooms. It was magic. There's actually a Beocenter 7700 for sale on the local "craigslist" and I've been very tempted - but I have a lot of

Today, my tonearm was wrapped for shipment. It's going from the Philippines to Frede in Venø. The world is small these days. I managed to find an unused ST/P tonearm, and while I had to pay somewhat above the going rate for these, I do believe that the Beogram 3000 Thorens is going to be the better for it.

So the SP8/9 doesn't fit? Shouldn't be a big problem. I have two 9" tonearms, and will have one of them mounted on a narrower tonearm board, so that I can use that too. Yes, there are more connectors on the 9" arm. This is the 12".

Quality never goes out of style, does it? Looking forward to the rest of this thread, as a very satisfied owner of a Beolab 5000.
