Hi, there are two 68uF caps on this pcb, but just one is used in the audible signal path. The second is just for the linearisation to the amp, causing a constant load for the amplifier => nothing audible, just to make the amp stable for all frequencies. So it makes no sense to spend a lot of money for this one, it's something like a dummy load

Es dürfte also sehr, sehr preiswert

Replace the smd electrolyth caps on the drive... that's all. "New" drives have the same age like the original one and will fail a little bit later, maybe 1-2 years. So it's better to replace the faulty parts and have 10-15 years lifetime again. And it saves a lot of money... 8 caps for 2 Euros and 30 minutes. Your quote for success

These ones? http://www.segor.de/bilder/0000bf54.jpg I've never seen them on a original B&O board... But why are they "infamous"?

That was just a design feature... 1 power cord for the comlete system BS2500 and the BL2500, especially when mounted on the steel shelf on the wall. Technicly there is no difference to 3 sperate power cords.

What looks like a dirty video head is 99% a defect cap in the video line. Beleave it, i had just enough of these VX for repair. Especially the VX7000 simulates a dirty video head. After the cleaning attack of the user, you can be sure that he will need a new video head ...100%, they will not survive. Last year i took a brand new and sealed VX5000 out

Quite normal after this time... defect electrolyth caps. Change the caps on the upper mainboard around the black substrate chip. Will help some weeks. Or better: replace all of them... there are just around 150 of them in a VX7000. They all need replacement... Have done dozens of these VX models, it's always the same defect. Caps

Check the lithium cell for leaking... probably the acid has destroyed some of the copper lines of the cpu board. Typical for not transmitting data. There is no diagram available.
