i use 1 damp e-cloth using only water, then buff it off with a dry e-cloth, it stays smear free for ages its a specially textured cloth that needs no chemicals whatsoever no matter how diluted, i use them on everything, and for glass they are perfect jay

turn one of the batteries the wrong way around in the remote and say its stuck on the one channel, your channel choice of course jay

i think the current smileys are but use them less than id like as they take so long to use , i also prefered on the old forum when you could see them as you were typing i also think the linked ones are a little small are we going to have a poll to choose the top 15 it would be nice to have one for silly

mine had a faint dust line where the doors closed, i was never brave enough to get in there. for most of us taking the tube out and putting a new one back in is MI1 and MI2 , so it seems like a good choice to me jay

i loved the curtains on the av9000, i always felt they were more dramatic when i first bought mine i didnt realize it could come apart, it did my back in for days but it was worth it, so what movie are you planning on watching first? jay

i read your link which does refer to sealed tv tubes, not open glass doors or cd/dvd mechs/lasers, i dont know for sure if tobacco smoke is or has ever been the cause of the beosound 9000 fault, but it stands to reason if dust can cause the beosound 9000s to play up then sticky tabocco smoke combined with dust must be worse but seen as you mentioned

i was going to ask how they test the effects, although id have thought it varys on a few other factors ,room ventilation, filtered/non filtered, brand etc and the combination of dust , kitchen fat, smog etc over years of exposure. as we speak im currently reconditioning a few pairs of cx speakers, its taking more work to remove the tabacco from the

has it been working fine for the last month, and just started playing up? how often is it happening? do you smoke? does it happen on brand new cds as well as old faithfuls? once a cd is playing does it play ok or jump as well? what is the type number? (located behind the control panel) jay
