Hi & welcome to Beoworld It has been mentioned a few times HERE & HERE . Sadly the original posters in both threads never completed the thread with the outcome. As your Beomaster 4500 was fine before you went away and now won't power up on your return does hint very strongly of a dry joint somewhere.

I have always loved the visual and physical interaction of B&O's moving parts. I'd probably say it's that which has kept my real interest over the years. It made me tick, gave me pleasure and encouraged me to purchase other items that had no moving parts like TV's. Maybe everything nowdays is software based and requires no moving

I'd recommend anyone interested should really insist on collection only as it may well arrive in more parts that it was manufactured with.
