Yes, you will need to purchase a pre-amp as neither the deck or the amp have one. The defective cartridge can be sent to Axel for refurbishment. Contact him at info@schallplattennadeln.de The cartridge will be returned as good as new and is much less expensive than complete replacement by www.sound-smith.com

Despite all the "ooh aah" from BeoWorld members, all white systems do not sell well. For that matter, neither do the all black versions. The S55's will doubtless be rotten (I sold my last pair to Chris "medogsfat" for £40 or so) and the Beolink 5000 will be "fragile" and only fit for the bin! Just my opinion,

I'm on Windows 7 and it is a total mess!! I just have a list of command lines just like they have been typed on Word. The only thing about right is the LifeStyle add at the top.
