Hello and welcome to Beoworld. You are correct about your problem. It is because the Beogram 9500 does not have a RIAA built in. You can of course use an external one. One of the sites sponsors sells them. Have a look at the link below. External RIAA Craig

Thank you trip for a very detailed answer. Not as easy as CD storage then. Ill look into the Western Digital TV Live. Looks like just what I am after. Not bothered about how fancy it looks, as long as it works. Craig
