I love the Serenata. Pop up the speaker in the office and listen to music WITHOUT headphones, brilliant! But it is "only" a (ultra)portable stereosystem, that can be used to make phone calls with. Nothing more, nothing less. Forget the iPhone jack-of-all-trades, the Serenata is not a multi-media phone that also can play music - this is what

What a refreshing thread! I think that the story behind the BeoSound 5 indicates that they are willing to look out of the box for design ideas. Again. But David brought iconic design to a new level, and Break Point 1993 showed us that this was the right way for B&O. How to combine iconic looks with fresh thinking? B&O do need to have "MX"

Found the following error reported by B&O: IR-Table synchronising; When starting up from standby: the set-top box indicates that it gets a start-up command and approx. 5 seconds later it gets a second command and switches to standby. If this is the cause, then updating the S/W to 7.84, or a newer version, for the 7-32 should sort it out (note that

Have heard about this issue, mainly related to the BV8 - have you tried to unplug the TV from the mains for at least 45 sec? Roger

I guess Trip will have to answer to the men in black... Roger

I do think that B&O Marketing need to stress that the BeoSound 5 is a high quality / high-end music player that goes perfectly along with their high-end BeoLab's for a superb sound experience. It is not a Jack of all trades like an iPhone. Roger

I tend to agree to some point on this - The BeoMedia 1 was a marketing mistake by Struer. It was sold as a future proof black box that came with 5 years of automatic S/W-updates through the customers broadband connection. The last update received was in November 2006, and it seems as if the BeoMedia 1 was discontinued back then (seen from the point

I have a similar setup, and use BeoCenter 6-26 and BV8-32 as link tv's. From a technical point of view: DVD and STB signals are distributed using RF (of course), so the difference in picture quality is fairly small. The BV8-32 has a lot more punch (bass) on offer, so it will fill a larger room with great sound - both from TV and from any audio source

Having recently mounted a BeoMedia 1 in a 9'er, I would guess that there isn't enough space for BL4k's in there. And you will have to make new holes in the MDF (it is pre-cut for the built-in MONO center speaker). But I would go with Lee: 7-40 w/7-2 would be better here (the stereo image is designed around the fact that the tweeters are

Hi, The BeoMaster 5 will replace the BeoMedia 1. If you please, you can buy the BeoMaster 5 only and hook it up to your BeoVision like todays BeoMedia 1. Roger
