I would agree with you on the whole. However Apple customers do often share some of the value judgements of typical B&O customers. They are willing to pay a premium for well designed and easy to use products which are made of higher grade materials. They also expect the product to have a longer than average lifespan. To use the Xtra speaker kits, you need to attach to Speaker 2. Your dealer should be able to get the correct cable for you. Suprisingly, B&O cable is not unreasonably priced!

Played with mine again last night . Keeping the speakers swityched off reduces the pop but does not completely eliminate it when speakers then switched on. Never really thought about this before as it has always done it! I did read a review of the 4400 in which this 'feature' was criticised by the reviewer.

A couple of seconds. My 4400 does much the same.

I get a pop when I switch on if the speaker switch is on - but not if it is off. If I then switch the speaker on, there is no pop.

If it is complete and works, that is a good price. The MMC6000 will be worn - they almost always are - but the rest could well be fine. Cosmetics are important - the wooden surround can be replaced but you clearly would need a donor unit.

B&O make a splitter box - small plastic product. You will need a Beolink active for the other room to allow full control.

I quite like the look - but: 1. Stereo in a box that narrow? 2. Where are the speakers? - must be in the sides 3. 7W a channel 4. 100 - 20,000 Hz I looked for a manual but couldn't find one.
