Just purchased a Beogram 3000 and noticed the manual said that it had to be within a meter of the receiver. Does this mean the datalink cable can only be 1m long? Does the sound degrage that much if you go further? I was hoping to place it across the room 15ft away but it looks like that is not going to be possible....

I doubt it....the signals for 3D go through the HDMI 1.4 spec and I don't see how that would travel over your DVI.

Bought a Beogram 3000 with new SMM4 cart so that should do the trick. Not the best but will do just fine.

Anyone else find the comments on engadget amusing whenever they mention a B&O product?

I recently mounted all of my BL6000s which I have in the front and the back. They are awesome on the wall and sound much better than on the floor firing into the couch.

3D won't take off until people can ditch the glasses. Just think of having these 3d glasses that run on batteries, recharging them and such, and having to have extra pairs for company, family, etc. Do you really want the clutter of all this? And it is going to change. 3D in its current form is the new Quad....it will be gone....
